Philip is passionate about helping people attain their dreams. He founded Bluestone Wealth Planning, LLC with a focus on providing the most comprehensive financial planning and investment advice available in the marketplace.
Dedicating most of his career to working in the financial arenas, Philip understands the critical needs of cash management, retirement planning, risk management and tax planning in obtaining client’s life goals. Complimenting his technical and financial knowledge, Philip is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ professional (CFP®), recognized nationally as the pinnacle of the financial planner designations. A CFP® must take extensive exams in the areas of financial planning, taxes, insurance, estate planning and retirement. Attaining the CFP® designation takes experience and a substantial amount of work. A CFP® professional must also complete continuing education programs each year to maintain their certification status.
By blending personal financial planning with coaching, Philip eases his clients’ anxiety around money, and presenting sophisticated and thorough financial planning and investment concepts so that the path to achieving financial goals are well understand and the risks involved are identified.
Most of all, Philip enjoys working with his clients to create a financial plan that achieves their life’s aspirations. During the planning process, Philip helps his clients understand the options and tradeoffs available to meet their goals. The awareness and appreciation of choice by his clients inspires a measure of confidence and control over their financial future.
Philip earned his Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Georgia. He went on to graduate from the CFP® Program at Oglethorpe University in 2002. Originally from Myrtle Beach, SC, Philip has been an Atlanta area resident since 1994. Philip and his wife, Becky, and their cats, Mango and Chowder, the Meowzer Brothers, currently reside in the Vinings area.
